Fond du Lac police are looking for a man accused of holding two men at gunpoint and stealing a car from an apartment building parking lot Monday night.
The incident happened in a parking lot at 695 E. Scott St. at about 10:30 p.m., said Major Kevin Lemke of the Fond du Lac Police Department.
"The two males were inside the vehicle and a third male came up, got in the back seat and produced a pistol of some sort," said Capt. Jon Gutzmann of the Fond du Lac Police Department.
The suspect — who was wearing a ski mask — demanded drugs from the two men in the front seat of the car and fired a shot out the open window of the car, Lemke said.
The two men got out of the car and fled, Gutzmann said.
"The suspect got into the front seat and drove away in the car," Lemke said.
"We still haven't found the car," he said Tuesday afternoon.
The men told police they did not know the suspect, Gutzmann said.
The car is described as a 1990 Pontiac 6000, four-door sedan that is blue and rusty. The car has two "faded stickers in the rear window," Lemke said.
The suspect is described as a black male who was wearing a black shirt, black jeans and a black ski mask at the time of the incident, Gutzmann said.
